Autumn in Aspen

As an artist I am blessed to live in the Great North Woods surrounded by mountains, valleys, ponds, and birch trees.  However, sometimes you are inspired by other masters of their craft such as Jennifer Vranes, as was I in this painting.  Every work of art cannot be duplicated as each stroke is your own.  Highly textured yet comforting; soft leaves in deep yellow hues and burnt orange are touched with metallics from the sparkling sunshine, with a crimson bed of fallen leaves and a few douglas fir give this painting warmth on a crisp day.  15 x 30 gallery wrapped canvas.
