"Tidal Wave"

16” x 20”  Original Impasto/palette knife art:   Highly textured pigments of Payne’s gray, Phthalo Blue, Turquoise Phthalo green, Iridescent gold, and Titanium white, gives the illusion of a large tidal wave, coming off the canvas.   The world today has influenced the artist to create this seascape to represent the beautiful Supermoons this year; and in contrast the exceptional weather events that created large tidal surges that have devastated my home state, and others around the world caused by underwater earthquakes or volcanic eruptions.  As well as a tidal wave of crime that has engulfed all corners of the world.  We can choose to focus on beauty or devastation.  Artist:  Pamela Choquette
