"Winter Blues"

"16 x 20" Original Mixed Media/Fluid Art:  A v ivid abstract inspired by the Northern Lights.   The collision of fast-moving particles (electrons) from space and the oxygen and nitrogen gas in our atmosphere cause this gorgeous phenomenon.  The chemical reactions and stretching of the paint pigments explode and expand at a cellular level that create magical effects on the canvas; it’s an awesome experience just to witness the evolution of each painting when swiping the pigments.  The jewel tone color palette of Paynes Gray, phthalocyanine blue, chartreuse, bright aqua, and 24kgold and pearl metallics highlight the rich contrast of the oxide black bark of the tree.  Genuine raw polished opals give the appearance of glowing ice mixed with recycled broken glass gives a winter vibe.
